DayList Privacy Policy

DayList is built by Aza Tech. This policy explains exactly what happens to your data when you use DayList — in plain language, because that's the only kind of privacy policy worth writing.

Data on your device

DayList doesn't have accounts and we don't run servers to store your content. Everything you create — tasks, lists, settings — is saved locally on your device. We never receive it, see it, or have any copy of it.

Cloud backup

If you turn on backup, DayList writes a copy of your data to your own iCloud (on iOS) or your own Google Drive app data folder (on Android). That storage belongs to you and is governed by Apple's or Google's privacy policy, not ours — we have no access to it, no keys to it, and no way to read it. Turning backup off, or simply not turning it on, means nothing ever leaves your device.

AI features

DayList's AI features are "bring your own key": you connect an API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google. That key is stored in your device's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android) and is used only to send your requests directly to the provider you chose — it never passes through our servers, because we don't have any. The first time you connect a key, the app shows a one-time disclosure explaining this.

Prompts and responses are subject to the privacy policy of the provider you connect: Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google. If you'd rather not connect a key, you can export your prompts and paste them into any AI app you already use — that export also goes nowhere near our servers.

Advertising

Free-tier screens may show ads served by Google AdMob. Where required (including under GDPR in the EEA/UK), we ask for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before any personalized ads load, and we honor Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt on iOS. You can review how Google handles this data in Google's advertising policies . Subscribing to DayList Pro removes ads entirely.

Purchases & subscriptions

DayList Pro is a subscription purchased and billed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment processing and subscription management are handled by RevenueCat on our behalf; see RevenueCat's privacy policy . We never see or store your card details — Apple and Google don't share them with us, and we don't ask.

Children's privacy

DayList is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. Since the app collects nothing on our end regardless of who uses it, this is mostly a formality — but it's an important one.

Deleting your data

Because everything lives on your device, deleting your data is entirely in your hands: uninstall DayList to remove everything stored locally, and if you turned on backup, delete the backup from your iCloud or Google Drive settings directly. We have no copy to delete because we never had one.
